Family Contribution and Financial Aid

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School provides a college preparatory education for students from families of modest means in Baltimore City. Cristo Rey Jesuit students earn the largest part of their tuition at their corporate internship work sites. Families are responsible to pay annual fees amounting to $2,500, which is the portion of tuition obligation that is not covered by the students’ corporate internship earnings. This is the “family portion” of tuition.

In some instances, the family portion of tuition, although a small part of the total cost of a college preparatory high school education, can be beyond a family’s ability to pay.

However, funds for financial aid are limited, and awards are made first to those families in greatest need and who complete the steps in the financial aid application process before the deadline. No family is guaranteed financial aid.

Steps to Follow
To apply for financial aid, prospective families should follow these steps:

1. Obtain copies of Federal Forms 1040 and W-2 income and tax forms for all adults who live with the student
applying for admission.

2. Using these federal tax forms, complete the PSAS Student Aid Form.

3. Also using these tax forms, complete the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Application for Admission and Financial Aid.

4. Submit all federal tax forms and completed PSAS forms, along with the Cristo Rey Jesuit Application for Admission and Financial Aid to the Admissions Office.

5. Call the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Admissions Office to arrange an appointment for a family interview with Cristo Rey Jesuit admissions staff. The student applying for admission and his or her parents or guardians must all participate in the interview.

Note: Families will need to be interviewed once only. The interviews for admissions and financial aid are one in the same.
