The college counseling program supports and guides Cristo Rey Jesuit students throughout their four years, preparing them and their families to be fully ready for the senior year college, scholarship, and financial aid application processes. One hundred percent (100%) of Cristo Rey Jesuit students are accepted to college, and the Class of 2016 earned over $3 million in merit-scholarships and over $1 million in financial aid.

To achieve these results, college counselors Jennifer Ewing and Gina King guide Cristo Rey Jesuit students in the college search process starting in the freshman year. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors visit college campuses on school-sponsored trips. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors have college counseling classes that guide students through college research and career exploration. The junior college counseling curriculum requires attendance at the spring AIMS (Association of Independent Maryland & D.C. Schools) college fair and includes weekly test preparation classes preceding the SAT and ACT.

Group and individual meetings with students and parents will support Cristo Rey Jesuit families as they navigate the college enrollment process.
