        Baltimore, Md., October 10, 2019 — Cristo Rey Jesuit High School  (CRJ) is pleased to announce that Brian Cobb, Chief Technology Officer and Partner at Brown Advisory, will join the school’s Board of Trustees. Prior to joining Brown Advisory, Cobb was Managing Vice President of Technology at Capital One Financial Corporation where he managed both local and international teams to oversee the operations and engineering of the company’s core technology platform services. Previously he also served in executive leadership roles at Fannie Mae. 

Cobb has a master’s degree in Financial Management and Information Systems from the University of Maryland University College and a bachelor’s in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Kettering University “On behalf of Cristo Rey Jesuit, I am thrilled to welcome Brian Cobb to our board of trustees,” said Dr. William Heiser, Cristo Rey’s President. “Brian brings a wide range of experience and leadership to Cristo Rey, specifically his work in the technology sector,” he added.

       Cobb joins a 32-person philanthropic board committed to raising critical funds to provide education and work opportunities to young people from Baltimore City. In addition to his service to CRJ, Cobb serves as a trustee to 501cTech and the Brookeville Crossing HOA. 

       In reference to his upcoming service to the board, Cobb shared “I am excited for the opportunity to work with the CRJ Community to help fulfill the school’s mission. CRJ has an impressive history, and its track record demonstrates success of its program and the difference that it makes in the lives of students. My service on the Board of Trustees is a fantastic way for me to give back to the Baltimore community.”
